1st Quarter 2024 Update

Hello to all our current and potential partners of the Jimmy Mac Foundation (JMF). As we persistently strive to walk out our 2024 theme, “A Love for GOD, A Love for People,” we humbly share the following updates.

Educational Assistance

We are thrilled about this year’s JMF “Making A Difference” Scholarship Program, which has 16 talented high school seniors who have submitted their applications. Our objective is to raise $25,000, and we are confident that, with your support, we will be able to grant scholarships to all applicants.  The commitment of JMF to these young individuals extends beyond the award distribution; we maintain contact with many of our past awardees. It is incredibly fulfilling to witness how these students excel both inside and outside the classroom. As faithful partners, we also provide financial assistance to numerous other scholarship programs throughout the year. Below, you’ll find a 30-second JMF Scholarship video shout-out from one of our 2021 Scholarship recipients and Howard University Student, Nyhri Mudie.

Local/Global Outreach

JMF remains steadfast in lifting prayers for global peace throughout the world. We are joyfully committed to providing financial and educational assistance to St. Joseph of Medor School in Haiti. Our hearts overflow with gratitude for the unwavering love and support extended by Our Lady of Queens of Peace Church in Arlington, VA to these dedicated students.

The North Central Georgia Affiliate Habitat for Humanity remains a tremendous blessing to numerous families. We feel privileged to serve as co-sponsors for the Smith and El Abdi families. Our active involvement in the landscaping day on 3/23 was fulfilling, and we eagerly anticipate joining the 4/13 Home dedication ceremonies. If you are interested in volunteering for home builds, we would be delighted to enhance our participation. Please reach out to us at jimmymacfoundation5928@gmail.com.

Global Missions

JMF is broadening its mission efforts in 2024. In May, we will journey to Kingston, Jamaica to participate in a mission trip facilitated by one of our partners, the Let’s Talk Under the Reggae Tree Foundation. We look forward to meeting and working with these young bright minds. And rest assured, we will not arrive empty-handed! In support of the trip, JMF will donate electronic tablets, robotics equipment, and other miscellaneous items.

In August, our journey will take us to Cape Town, South Africa. During this trip, we are filled with anticipation as we prepare to dedicate a couple of days to supporting an inner-city youth ministry led by Bishop Dean Carelse. While the exact activities are still in the planning phase, we humbly request your prayers as the Lord continues to enlarge and expand our territory.

Life for Children Ministry has officially confirmed dates for upcoming Kenya mission trips. The first trip is scheduled for November 7th to 18th, 2024, and the second trip is scheduled to take place April 25th to May 4th, 2025.  If you have any questions or need further information about these mission trips, feel free to reach out to us @ jimmymacfoundation5928@gmail.com.  JMF eagerly anticipates participating in the April 2025 trip!

Outreach – Nutrition

Food insecurity remains a pressing issue worldwide. As we extend our assistance globally, we also maintain our commitment to local food pantries. These dedicated organizations carry out remarkable work within our communities, and we actively contribute both financially and through volunteer efforts.

Thank You

Together with our generous JMF Partners, we continue to express deep gratitude for the kindness and generosity extended toward our ministry. In case you missed it (ICYMI), we are immensely thankful to the St. James Alpharetta Church Community for recognizing JMF with an MLK service award earlier this year in January. Recently, we were humbled and honored by the brotherly love shown by the Alpharetta/Smyrna Alumni Chapter of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc. Senior Kappas who awarded us a $1,000 grant. These acts of kindness are indescribably encouraging, and we give all the glory to GOD!

With a Servant’s Heart,

The JMF Team
